Pia Coronel
"Finding and creating identity is an important part of growth in life. In my work, I explore what it means to search for oneself in places where structure and chaos collide. I strive to explore the feelings and challenges one faces in the struggle to claim a place in society. My work deals with our constant search for “it” as I believe that there will always be a battle within us to create that perfect identity. Cultures, societies, tribes, all have different expectations of how people should be. My work explores these feelings that come about when we are trying to figure out who we are and why we are here."— Pia Coronel

Air Jordan 1 Retro ’95 ‘Cool Grey’
The classic Air Jordan 1 becomes the Retro ’95 ten years later and is presented in a solid new colorway for Holiday 2013. The patent leather toe box reminds of the Air Jordan 11 and nicely mixes with a soft grey synthetic grey nubuck upper and carbon fibre details on the ankle Wings logo placement. The crisp white mid-sole brings back a nice balance to the sneaker, which releases in limited numbers on November 9.

Globe-Trotter for Maison Martin Margiela Luggage Collection
When it comes to collaborations, Maison Martin Margiela stays more busy than ever before these days. After having previously worked with G-Shock and Converse, the fashion brand announces this week a Japan exclusive luggage collection with Globe-Trotter, as reported by Selectism. Once again Margiela applies its signature “emblematic trompe-l’œil (French for “deceive the eye”) concept print” that has also been placed on the Converse sneakers. The outcome is a range of suitcases inspired by Globe-Trotter pieces from the 1920′s to 1950′s with a distinct used vintage look. The collection releases this December at Margiela’s Isetan Shinjuku store in Tokyo.

Marni Fall/Winter 2013 Collection
Italian brand Marni presents their new Fall/Winter 2013 Collection during Milan Fashion Week. Ever since their recent collaboration with H&M and in general a much stronger product offering, Marni has certainly gotten a lot more attention in the press and slowly starts showing up at a lot more retailers around the globe. It seems like especially internationally Marni has now a much stronger position.
The color palette, materials and silhouettes are once again great in the new collection. Overall the line feels a little more muted than previous ones though, so do not expect as many strong colors anymore.

The long-awaited contribution from Big Boi has finally arrived, Rap Radar’s Elliott Wilson had the honor of premiering the record during his #KeepItThoro mixshow Saturday night. The addition really completes this track for me, it’s always nice to hear some new OutKast. Hopefully this marks the beginning of what will be another OutKast era, stay tuned.
